The team behind Lies of P has commented on the pressure they feel to raise the bar with their next title.
A new short documentary was recently shared on YouTube, featuring interviews with key team members from NOUGH Studio about the game they created and what they plan to do next. It is a documentary that begins by asking the question, “Can we make something even better than the previous title?” and ends with the statement, “You won’t be disappointed. We promise. This is the truth, not a lie.”
“When we first started, we were building from a completely blank slate,” said narrative director Kwon Byungsoo in the documentary. “We kept asking ourselves just how far we could go. Now Lies of P is our starting point. The question now is how much more we can build from here.”

Lies of P Sequel Developers Promise They Are Raising the Bar
The documentary also takes a deep look at the studio’s tagline, “Games by Gamers.” As such, it was stated that they do not release games until everyone at the studio enjoys playing them. As such, they have “game day” sessions where the entire team stops working for a day and just plays the game as though it were any other game.
“This documentary was produced to convey that the time spent preparing for our next title is a crucial part of the game’s completion process,” said a NEOWIZ representative in a press release. “The development culture cultivated by NEOWIZ’s NOUGH Studio serves as the foundation for consistently delivering high-quality titles, and we wanted to reassure fans that we are pouring our heart and soul into preparing our next project.”
Lies of P originally launched in 2023. Its prequel expansion, Overture, came out in June 2025. A complete version for Nintendo Switch 2 was released this week on August 6.
