LEGO’s list of impressive collabs is never-ending, and the Nintendo sets have quickly become established as fan favorites. Now, a LEGO Nintendo Game Boy set is on the horizon, and we’ve got all the details.
Nintendo’s collab with LEGO has so far produced some eye-catching builds, including tie-ins with Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda, and there’s more on the horizon with Pokémon next year. Before that, though, the Game Boy set has been revealed.
For all the details on the release date, price, and how to secure the set for yourself, take a look at our detailed guide.
When is the LEGO Nintendo Game Boy Release Date?

The LEGO Nintendo Game Boy will be released worldwide on Wednesday, October 1.
This is the date when any pre-orders will ship and the first date that the Game Boy set will be available on shelves at your local LEGO Shop and other retailers.
While some places may dispatch pre-orders early, with a chance they will arrive before the official release date, this isn’t the case with LEGO, which specifically states that shipping will commence on October 1.
How Much is the LEGO Nintendo Game Boy?
The LEGO Nintendo Game Boy set is priced at $59.99, making it one of the more affordable collab pieces between LEGO and Nintendo.
A cheaper price than other sets is due to the set size, with a total of 421 pieces in the Game Boy set. In comparison, LEGO’s The Mighty Bowser set costs $269.99 and has 2807 pieces, while the LEGO Mario Kart Standard Kart costs $169.99 and has 1972 pieces.
More pieces doesn’t translate to more fun, however, and there’s no need for LEGO to go above and beyond, as the set perfectly matches the size of the vintage console.
How to Pre-Order the LEGO Nintendo Game Boy
Pre-orders for the LEGO Nintendo Game Boy set are now available via the official LEGO Shop, with no other retailers stocking the product yet.
The set is not listed as a LEGO Shop exclusive; however, pre-orders may be available through retailers such as Nintendo, Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart in the future.
At this stage though, the only way to pre-order the Game Boy set is via LEGO directly, though it’s definitely worthwhile if you have a LEGO Insiders membership, as you earn points on your purchase. You can also use existing points to lower the cost of the pre-order.
