You’ll come across Wuchang: Fallen Feathers statues that ask you to perform a certain action. The ‘Pay Your Respects Before The God of Shu’s Statue to Reunite With Faces of The Past’ is one of many, so let’s show you how to solve this and other glowing statues located throughout Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
It wouldn’t be a Souls game without ambiguous items or obscure game mechanics. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers admittedly follows closely in the paths of predecessors that came before it. Its glowing statues are something Elden Ring players might be familiar with, but let me explain.
How to Activate Shu Sanctum Statue in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

To activate glowing statues in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers—like the one outside of Shu Sanctum—you need to open up the Pose menu and select the correct emote. In this instance, you must use the Worship action to trigger the Shu Sanctum statue.
Before I get into a full explainer of how it works, follow these steps so you know what to do. I’ll use the ‘Pay Your Respects Before The God of Shu’s Statue to Reunite With Faces of The Past’ statue as an example:
- Progress through Wuchang: Fallen Feathers until you reach Shu Sanctum’s surrounding area.
- Head down a couple of flights of stone stairs outside the main front entrance.
- Stand in front of the glowing statue (shown in the screenshot above).
- Press the Touch Pad on PS5, Toggle View on Xbox, or Y on PC to open the Gesture Panel.
- Choose the Worship action, and press the action button to initiate the movement.
- Bai performs a seconds-long action, and you should hear a child’s voice once it’s completed.
- You also receive a useful Consumable reward to go with this.
These statues are found all around Wuchang. The description for each one changes, meaning you need to select different Poses for each statue. The clue is usually found in the highlighted blue words.
Here’s another example.

Not far from Shu Sanctum’s Shrine is a big uphill area. It has a Madness statue where you can offer Divine Gifts, but it also has another glowing statue.
This one asks you to “Look to the horizon to reunite with faces of the past.”
Simply use the Gaze Pose, and it triggers the event and reward.
Statue Rewards in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Rewards for triggering glowing statues for the first time include Divine Gifts, Candied Haws, and various other one-off Consumables.
It took me a while to figure out the purpose of these statues. With you having this knowledge straightaway, you should be able to collect all rewards during your Wuchang: Fallen Feathers journey!
I hope this guide helps, and you have Bai posing like a model on a runway in front of every statue. If there are any other Wuchang guides you’re interested in seeing, let me know through the Insider Gaming forum.
For now, here are guides on Wuchang’s difficulty settings and its full trophy list
