Unless you’re an absolute Soulslike witch or wizard, the Manna Vase is vital to keeping you alive in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. It’s the game’s version of healing, and if you want to outlast bosses and not fall foul of casual mobs, upgrading your Manna Vase is essential in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
If you didn’t know, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a Souls game. This means it’s hard. This means every boss room is going to have you locked in for anywhere between 15 minutes and 3 hours. Leenzee’s put together one hell of a gauntlet, and it’s a great first entry in a promising new series.
One thing it has in common with other Soulslikes is the need to heal. Most of us mere mortals need copious heals, and can’t beat the whole game as a Level 1, half-naked hero using only a torch, upside down, with ankle weights.
How to Upgrade Manna Vase in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

You upgrade your Manna Vase healing through the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Impetus Repository found in the game’s many Shrines.
Before I give you some background information, check out the easy way to heal and what you need to do first:
- Gain access to Shrines in Wuchang.
- Unlock and press on the Impetus Repository.
- Move to the left side of the interface so you highlight Illusive.
- You need to unlock the Skyborn Call I node to the left of Illusive.
- Now, use more Red Essence to upgrade the node above and below Skyborn Call I.
- These are Manna Capacity and Manna Potency.
- The rest of this subset of the skill tree also has more Manna Capacity and Manna Potency nodes to unlock.
Manna Capacity

Increasing your Manna Capacity requires finding and using Forgotten Remembrance items. Each Manna Capacity upgrade requires one Forgotten Remembrance. Quite simply, every time you enter the dream at a Shrine or die, you’ll respawn with extra Manna Vase uses.
Manna Potency

On the other hand, Manna Potency determines how much health you recoup with every Manna use. The greater its potency, the more HP you recover. For example, early on, your initial Manna will heal somewhere between 30-50% of health, but this increases greatly with more Manna Potency upgrades. The Manna Potency nodes need one instance of Lost Remains to improve them.
Where to Find Forgotten Remembrance in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
You can find Forgotten Remembrances hidden throughout Wuchang: Fallen Feathers in large golden chests.
They’re usually found off the beaten path, and require you to defeat special enemies, or go through a mini-gauntlet of obstacles, status-affliction effects, and other hazardous dangers.
Where to Find Lost Remains in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

In my experience, Lost Remains are also found in the same large golden chests, but are also lying around in the open on special corpses and locations.
Again, if you spot a golden chest, do your best to reach it. They contain both Forgotten Remembrances and lost Remains. However, you can also find Lost Remains in more open positions—see the image directly above.
My advice is to search every nook and cranny of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. If you find a path that seems obscure, it’s more than likely hiding something. Be thorough, because an extra use of your Manna Vase, or a small dose of extra health, could be the difference in a boss fight. Let us know if this guide helped via the Insider Gaming forum.
