At the tail end of July, it was suggested that a PS5 upgrade for Kingdom Come: Deliverance (2018) was inbound and would likely feature several upgrades and optimizations to warrant the ‘new version’. Now, a new rumor has suggested that the upgraded version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance will drop early next year, likely between January and April.
In February, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was released, stunning players worldwide and delivering one hell of a medieval adventure that drew top marks from reviewers – including me.
Is Kingdom Come: Deliverance Getting an Upgrade?
It’s highly likely that Kingdom Come: Deliverance is getting an upgraded version that’ll be available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. It has been seven years since the first game was released, and those dipping back into the game from KCD2 can notice a fair difference in quality, performance, and optimization.
That’s not to say that Kingdom Come: Deliverance isn’t a good game – it still holds up quite well, but it’s not a patch on the sequel.
In July, it was directly suggested that a PS5 version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance was incoming, but no date was provided for the release of said game (or version). It was left open for conjecture and assumptions, and until now, the topic has been mostly forgotten about.
This most recent claim about Kingdom Come: Deliverance comes from a Reddit user who stresses they were previously pivotal in leaking the delay of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
