Keep Her Safe, one of the most humorous and satirical extraction games to emerge in recent years, is preparing to launch into a 1.0 state on October 12. The game’s developer, Gugu Studio, has fleshed out the early access ecosystem of the game to include new maps, minigames, and ways to defeat hordes of undead enemies, all ready for the title’s 1.0 release.
It’s set to hit the market at a minuscule price point of just $9.99, and it’ll have a launch discount as well, just to make things even more accessible. I’ve had a good few hours to play around with Keep Her Safe, and I can promise you it’s absolutely insane and hugely entertaining.
Think Escape from Duckov with more parody content and an intense tower defense loop.
Keep Her Safe Graduates From Early Access
Keep Her Safe didn’t spend too long in early access, and on October 12, it’ll hit 1.0, which is a marvellous thing. The team at Gugu Studio has manufactured this inane experience, which combines the high-stakes looting loop of an extraction shooter and the wave defense elements of a tower defense game, a combination that unfolds very nicely in the game.
This game is centered around evolved animals that are banding together to wipe out a human zombie apocalypse. You’ll assume control of an extremely capable chicken and join forces with other anthropomorphized animals in a bid to build a base, loot the world silly, and massacre endless waves of bloodthirsty zombies.
It has cooperative multiplayer elements, humorous minigames, and a core gameplay loop that becomes increasingly challenging the longer you survive. There’s a day-night cycle, a changing weather system, and a massive loot pool, along with survival mechanics, crafting elements, and much more.
It’s a thick offering for a $9.99 price tag, that’s for sure.
When 1.0 drops on October 12, it’ll introduce 15 distinct boss characters, three new maps, fresh tower defense structures and tools, and that all-important multiplayer ecosystem.
