Karmine Corp picked up another shock win for the LEC at the League of Legends World Championship (LoL Worlds) over Anyone’s Legend.
KCorp took their Play-Ins form into the Swiss Stage with a huge win over the reigning LPL champions.
The result one-upped their LEC rivals MKOI’s shock victory over BLG in the game before.
Now, on Day 1 of the LoL Worlds Swiss Stage, all four LPL seeds in AL, BLG, Top Esports, and Invictus Gaming have lost.
KCorp Style On The LPL Champions at LoL Worlds
KCorp had a lot of momentum after breezing through the Play-Ins, though the popular belief was that their opposition was too easy.
After a shaky end to Summer Split, there were concerns that KCorp wouldn’t fulfil their potential at Worlds once again.
However, against the odds, they were simply the better team in the, albeit, best-of-one against AL.
KC looked to be in early danger when Lee ‘Tarzan’ Seung-yong flashed over a wall for a level three gank bot.
However, smart play by Alan ‘Busio’ Cwalina bought enough time for the bot duo to escape and set Tarzan behind with all his top camps still up.
Toplaner Kim ‘Canna’ Chang-dong was the only KC player to fall behind in the laning phase, but he then won his team the game.
Canna managed to make the most of a double knock-up from his Jarvan to get a quadra kill as Jax and put KC firmly in control.
With him and Caliste ‘Caliste’ Henry-Hennebert looking strong, KCorp cleanly ended another huge LoL Worlds win for the LEC.
