Recently, the topic of cheaters in Call of Duty made its way to an unlikely audience – those listening to an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. In a recent episode of the at-times controversial podcast, Joe Rogan and his guest, Dan Soder, spoke briefly about the cheating pandemic that’s pulling Call of Duty to pieces, with Rogan breaking down the concept of aimbots and wallhacks.

‘They Couldn’t Miss’

In a recent episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast, which was clipped and shared on Twitter by ‘caZ’, we see Rogan and his guest reviewing footage of cheaters in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. There’s a brief discussion about how accessible these cheats are and how users can buy them ad-hoc, shining a light on the inherent issues within the Call of Duty ecosystem.

Joe explained how it all works:

They’re running around and the guys have these aimbots and they cna never miss. So, they will kill you – and every time they kill you, they’re fully armoured and they have all the weapons – and they would know exactly where you’re going to be and they’ll kill you again and kill you again. And every now and then, they would die and respawn and then kill you again, because they just couldn’t miss.

Joe took a moment to compare Call of Duty to Quake, an old-school shooter that’s often considered one of the founding fathers of the genre. He was shocked by how ‘fast’ Call of Duty is now, saying, ‘Call of Duty is a lot quicker than I thought it was.’
