ILL is an upcoming realistic first-person horror game from Team Clout, revealed for the first time today at the Summer Game Fest.
ILL is a debut project from Team Clout Studio, which falls under the Mundfish Powerhouse Label. The title is being developed by horror experts who have collaborated with veteran directors of the field. The team aims to “create a game that will claw its way into your consciousness and expose your true fears, layer by layer”. Check out the ILL’s official reveal trailer from Summer Game Fest below:
The upcoming horror title is poised to challenge “even the most seasoned fans of the genre”. The story is set in a massive research fort now controlled by a mysterious entity. Players must survive the horrific Aberrations that stand in their way as they experience the gory realism. The title features a brutal dismemberment system, which allows players to maim and tear the monsters into pieces. As you take down several enemies while exploring this fort, you leave shredded flesh, exposed bones, and eviscerated carcasses along the way.
The title’s binaural audio system also amplifies the horror impact. ILL has a realistic physics system, where the environment becomes an active part of the gameplay, even while solving puzzles. Players’ actions can cause the monsters to react, too, which could lead to them throwing different environmental objects at the player.
Lastly, weapon and resource management will be the key to success in ILL. Players will observe that each weapon has elaborate animations and unique physics. Also, your weapons need to be checked for defects, modified and upgraded for you to progress further. At the same time, resource management is integral as crafting the correct item can instantly change the tide of the battle. Interested players can now wishlist the game on Steam.
