IEM Atlanta 2026 Predictions

After once again defeating NAVI 3-0 in the Grand Final of BLAST Rivals Fort Worth, Vitality are obvious favourites to pick up their 6th trophy in a row.

For NAVI, getting a map against Vitality would be progress after coming so close on Anubis after blowing an 11-0 lead on Nuke.

The two have relatively simple pathways to the playoffs, with NAVI facing Passion UA, then likely rematching GamerLegion who they defeated 2-0 at BLAST.

Also in Group B, Liquid and Astralis will reignite the organization’s rivalry, but with neither team shining bright. Nonetheless, Astralis’s form should still be strong enough to move them into a matchup against the winner of Legacy and hometown heroes, M80.

For Vitality, their opening matchup will at least be exciting as Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut lines up against Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev one more time. Despite those headline names, BC.Game could hardly be in a worse state after removing two of the SAW core, including IGL Christopher ‘MUTIRIS’ Fernandes.

The team still officially only has four players, after Azbayar ‘Senzu’ Munkhbold joined the roster on loan from Passion UA.

Elsewhere in Group A, FaZe will be hoping to build on a relatively positive start at BLAST Fort Worth, which saw the team make the Semi-Finals of the event, securing wins against Furia and G2.

With new coach Niclas ‘enkay J’ Krumhorn, and Russel ‘Twistzz’ Van Dulken IGLing, FaZe did look more stable and structured than the last weeks of Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen’s reign, but teams will now have tape to look at with this new FaZe roster.

However, FaZe will face a tough test if they progress in the group, with FUT expected to return to full strength after Laurențiu ‘lauNX’ Țârlea missed BLAST Rivals Fort Worth with a suspected stomach ulcer.

With the PGL Bucharest champions seemingly growing in every event they attend, FUT coach András ‘coolio’ Fercsák told Insider Gaming in interview that the team was eyeing the event for arena experience and to see where they are in the Tier 1 landscape.

Predicted Winner: Vitality
