Being able to double jump in any game typically opens up entirely new means of movement and accessibility, and it’s no different in Crimson Desert. With the freedom on offer, you can only imagine the new heights you can reach with a handy second jump.
However, whilst it’s a key movement mechanic in Crimson Desert, it’s highly likely that plenty of you out there might not even realise it’s in the game for quite some time! Pearl Abyss were clear that they weren’t holding any hands, and apparently that even includes important features like a double jump.
If you’re looking to gain an extra spring to your step in Crimson Desert, Insider Gaming has you covered, as unlocking the double jump is no longer a mystery.
How To Unlock Double Jump In Crimson Desert

There are two ways to unlock Double Jump in Crimson Desert: either through the skill tree, or through Watch and Learn.
The easiest and quickest way is to simply purchase the skill, which is tucked away in the Spirit tree for one Abyss Artifact. Unless you’re scouring through the skill tree early doors in Crimson Desert, there’s a strong chance that you’d miss the skill for quite some time.

However, if that were the case, or if you want to preserve your Abyss Artifacts, you can always learn the Double Jump skill by using Watch and Learn. This is Crimson Desert’s unique way of unlocking new items, moves and skills; all you need to do is observe someone doing a double jump, and you’ll suddenly know how to as well.
However, you probably won’t witness that for some time, so if you’re after the Double Jump skill quickly, it’s probably worth sacrificing the Abyss Artifact and moving on.
Do You Need Double Jump In Crimson Desert?

For the main campaign of Crimson Desert, the Double Jump skill is not required, but it’s handy for general exploration.
Crimson Desert has an overwhelming wealth of locations for you to explore and puzzles to complete, and some are undoubtedly easier with the double jump.

That being said, there’s so much freedom of movement in Crimson Desert, from climbing to gliding, that the double jump doesn’t often feel like a necessity. That being said, once it’s part of your kit, you’ll probably use it a fair bit, so it’s ultimately down to personal judgment.
