How to Fix Helldivers 2 Acquisitions Not Working Error

If you’re one of the many players dealing with Acquisitions not working in Helldivers 2, first, know that it’s a problem many face due to the game’s servers. It’s a bug caused by the massive influx of players, and it’s one that developer Arrowhead Game Studios acknowledges and is working to fix. But it’s still no less annoying!

How to Solve Acquisitions Not Working in Helldivers 2

The Arrowhead CEO recently confirmed they’re working double-time to introduce bug fixes for the numerous issues plaguing Helldivers 2, especially regarding connectivity. He wanted to thank everyone for their patience, but many are losing that patience because they can’t earn rewards for their bug-killing work.

To resolve the Helldivers 2 acquisitions not working as intended, here are a few fixes that may help the situation. Or not. But it’s worth a try in the meantime until an update hits!

  • Completely close out of Helldivers 2 and restart the game.
  • Verify the integrity of game files on Steam.
    • Right-click the game in your Steam library, and select ‘Properties.’
    • From here, choose ‘Installed Files.’
    • Then, select ‘Verify integrity of game files” and wait for the task to run.
  • Check to ensure you have a stable internet connection.

While these are not surefire fixes to solve the connectivity errors in Helldivers 2, they can help establish your connection and perhaps allow you to spend your hard-earned Warbond Medals!

Why is Helldivers 2 Experiencing Connectivity Issues?

Believe it or not, despite the overwhelming success of Palworld, Helldivers 2 surpassed it as the best-selling game on Steam in recent memory. The massive influx of players, which is a shock considering the game had little marketing behind it, overwhelmed the studio, and even with Sony’s support, it will take some time to recuperate.

The many bugs, some of which have been squashed, persist. And each day, with every additional update to the game, additional bugs present themselves.
