How to Earn Super Credits For Free in Helldivers 2

I don’t blame you if you don’t want to spend a dime on yet another triple-A game with a microtransaction store. It’s exhausting and expensive. But Helldivers 2 is shaking things up a little by annoying people with an in-game store and offering a chance to earn premium currency simply by playing the game. That’s right; you can earn Super Credits free in Helldivers 2 for jumping in and playing the objective like a team player!

How to Get Free Super Credits in Helldivers 2

To receive free Super Credits in Helldivers 2, you have a handful of options:

  • Acquire Warbond Medals and work through the free battle pass, earning 800 Super Credits for completing all ten tiers.
  • Upgrade to the Premium Battle Pass, which offers an additional 300 Super Credits.
  • Tackle points of interest during a mission by opening your minimap and locating the diamond icons. These points of interest (POI) contain loot, such as weapons and Super Credits, but prove challenging to complete.

It’s important to note that, of all these methods, finding them in-game by exploring the POIs is one of the most time-consuming methods. Most missions will only spawn a maximum of 10 Super Credits spread across the various side objectives. Even then, it’s not a guarantee. The premium currency doesn’t always spawn.

Alternatively, the only option that isn’t free is opening up your wallet and buying a pack of Super Credits via the in-game store. You can purchase a bundle for relatively cheap.

While I’m not advocating for microtransactions, the sad reality is that many developers will add them for that quick cash-in, no matter what most of us think. Unlike the recent trends, Helldivers 2 is at least offering cheap currency and cosmetics.

What You Can Buy With Super Credits

As of right now, seeing as it’s the first week of launch, the only items available to purchase include:

  • B-24 Enforcer (Body Armor)
  • B-24 Enforcer (Helmet)
  • CE-74 Breaker (Helmet)
  • CE-74 Breaker (Body Armor)

This is, of course, just a sample. The store rotates regularly, and there will be new Helmets and Body Armor to purchase using premium currency shortly.

The in-world reviews were a nice tough, though!
