Hollow Knight: Silksong Multiplayer Now Possible Thanks To Mod

If you’ve wondered if Hollow Knight: Silksong would be easier if you had a second person sitting next to you, also getting frustrated, then you can find out with the new Hollow Knight: Silksong multiplayer mod, which allows a second Hornet to appear.

Between Widow, Sister Splinter, Lace, and a myriad of other bosses, Silksong has tested our patience to no end. The decibel level certainly rises when facing a Silksong boss, and it’s a test of your mental and physical skills to beat Hollow Knight: Silksong, especially as it’s just you.

There’s no summoning help like in Souls games. This was the case until a new multiplayer mod hit the scene to show us all mercy.

The Hollow Knight: Silksong devs are nerfing early-game bosses—plural. This should tell you how brutal and unrelenting the game can be. Before this happens, you might be able to conquer the bosses as they were initially designed, with a second person.

Modder 233xvx233 has uploaded their ‘Silksong Steam multiplayer mod.’ As the mod’s main screenshot shows, it allows a second Hornet to hop into the action. This means you can take on bosses together and fall into the same traps and hazards as a terrible team!

The download instructions are simple enough. Once it’s done, you can enjoy seamless synchronous Silksong sessions.

This is a great accessibility feature for those who seek it. Does this detract from Silksong and how it’s meant to be played? Or should people be able to play it and enjoy the mod if they want to? There are already countless mods making the game easier, so why not another?
