Hideo Kojima’s Physint Casting Calls Reveal New Details

New information about Hideo Kojima’s upcoming action-espionage title, Physint, has been revealed through casting calls.

Physint and OD are the next big games from Hideo Kojima; however, it will be a long time before we see them. But we did receive some promising details about the cast during the Beyond the Strand event. Now, casting calls have revealed details about what could be one of the game’s scenes.

Physint Casting Calls Mentions a “Mads Mikkelsen in Hannibal But With Flair” Villain

Information about Physint casting calls comes from an MP1ST report, which notes that the project has an internal codename of ‘Shimmer’ for casting. The casting calls are for a male villain and 2 female roles. The villain is the most intriguing listing, as it mentions a character who is “Confident in a psychotic way. Calm and cold killer type”. Moreover, he “must have a German accent” and has been described as “Mads Mikkelsen in Hannibal but with flair”.

Moreover, the casting director has been named Mari Ueda, who was also responsible for casting Death Stranding 2. We also receive an understanding of one of the scenes, which includes a 17-year-old teenager, a mother, and a passenger who are aboard a hijacked bus. Moreover, all characters are expected to have PCAP/MOCAP credits and to play multiple characters. Players should note that this scene may change or even be cut entirely by the time the game releases.

In other news, Hideo Kojima revealed he was going solo on Physint, working on his own as the game is at such an early stage of development. Additionally, OD and Physint could be Kojima’s final games for a while. What are your thoughts on the information revealed through Physint’s casting calls?
