In a new Twitter post, the official Helldivers 2 account confirmed that players have finally unlocked the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit mechs.
The devs only just confirmed that these mechs were coming soon earlier this week. Yesterday, the devs called on players to successfully free Tien Kwan from an automaton attack in time to unlock the anticipated exosuits.
In-game, Tien Kwan is the sole facility with this gear, and players needed to prevent this tech from falling into the wrong hands.
This would potentially translate into a delayed release for the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuits. So, the fanbase swiftly unlocked these mechs, well ahead of time.
Helldivers 2 has gone through an impressive variety of updates since launch. Just today, the developer Arrowhead announced that a future update will rebalance some of the toughest enemies. This would include the Hulks, Titans, and Chargers.
Arrowhead also revealed that the studio is “looking at changes to the spawn rates and health pools of heavy enemies”.
Some fans were dismayed by recent changes, but the game continues to thrive. A brand-new Cutting Edge Warbond is coming March 14th.
The new Warbond will add new armor and weapons with an electrical theme, including EX Series Prototypes. This will feature everything from stun grenades to guns that fire lightning. There will also be some new cosmetics to improve player customization, from capes to emotes.
The EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit is an excellent addition to the controlled chaos of Helldivers 2. It also proves there is still a major audience for mechs. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon launched last year to strong reviews, and it may also be the right time for Titanfall 3.
