Earlier today, Rockstar Games unveiled the official cover art for Grand Theft Auto 6, lifting the lid on an ultimately predictable spot of box art that’ll adorn every copy of the game in just a few months. The team also revealed that, from June 25, pre-orders for the most highly anticipated game ever made will finally go live.
However, in making these changes to the GTA 6 website, Rockstar Games has, for some reason, removed any reference to the game’s release date, which is November 19th. This has, of course, caused some gamers to plunge into a state of panic, thinking it means that a delay is imminent.

Where Did The GTA 6 Release Date Go?
When you head to the Rockstar Games website and go to the GTA 6 page, you’ll notice that you’re now welcomed by the snazzy new box art and a bold text strike declaring the pre-order window opening on June 25. The game’s platforms are also mentioned, with them, of course, being the PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series… PC will come later, right?
What you won’t see is a release date:

Before today, that release date was clear for all to see:

Even the social media pages have followed suit:

Now, this could just be Rockstar Games walking the walk and assuming that everyone must know when GTA 6 is coming out, given that it’s set to be the most valuable entertainment launch in the history of mankind (probably).
Or, it could be an oversight that has led Rockstar Games to omit the date because of complacency. Given how s***-hot the team has been developing this title, it’s hard to imagine it’s for this reason.
The pre-order date is now front and centre, and regardless of when GTA 6 is coming out, folks will want to get their copies secured as soon as possible. Rockstar Games knows this and understands that whether the game comes out on November 19 or January 1, 2028, all people want to do right now is pre-order it.
However, that hasn’t stopped some users from taking to social media to panic that the date has suddenly disappeared from Rockstar’s site, despite still being present on any platform that offers a wishlist function.
