A slew of new details have dropped for Grand Theft Auto 6, including an overview of how different NPCs in the world will react to your actions.
The Rockstar Games behemoth is finally launching after years of waiting on November 19, and GTA 6 is set to break records, having already firmly been established as the most anticipated game of all time.
The scope of GTA 6 has been increased considerably from previous games, and the well-established actions of NPCs in the past have now evolved, with each now having their own set of personality traits.
GTA 6 NPCs Have Different Personalities
The new information comes from Edge magazine, via GamesRadar, which details how different NPCs will react based on their temperament, aggression, location, what they’ve witnessed, and how the player behaves towards them.
One particular moment of a play session was highlighted, where Jason, controlled by the player, had gazed too long at a passing dog walker, who reacted by squaring up to him and unclipping the leash to let the Alsatian chase down the protagonist.
Eventually, the pup gives up the chase and returns to its owner, and this is merely a drop in the ocean for what can happen while exploring the world.
It’s certainly a significant change from GTA 5, for example, which was limited in NPC reactions, where most had the same fleeing mechanics, save for a few others that would fight back if you attempted to steal their car, or gang members who would open fire if you wielded a weapon in a particular area.
Rockstar’s considerable efforts to improve the life beneath the scenes in GTA 6 are becoming well documented, and it’s sure to create an endless slew of hilarious reactions and encounters that will spread across the web on full release.
