GTA 6 is ‘Never Completed Settled’, Rockstar Reveals

In a new interview, Rockstar’s head of development discussed how GTA 6 is never fully settled.

GTA 6 is all set to release in just over a month, and fans still can’t believe that the game is so close. Leading up to the launch, Rockstar has given players insights into what went into developing a title of this scale and has also touched on the delays it faced, none of which were for any dramatic reason.

GTA 6 Delays Were Never for Big Dramatic Reasons

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Phil Hooker, Rockstar’s head of development, stated that GTA 6 is never fully settled. He said the game’s delays have never been due to major, dramatic issues; instead, they result from elements not coming together as planned within the intended timeframe. Hooker also noted that the team doesn’t follow a strict blueprint for the game’s development and has changed things even “within the last few months.” Hooker also pointed out that Rockstar built a new studio in Los Angeles to focus solely on creating NPCs.

GTA 6’s World Can Easily Distract Players

Hooker talked about playing a version of the game that was meant to lead him to a story mission but took an unexpected turn. Instead, he collided with a car, resolved the situation peacefully, and then visited a convenience store to pick up items to restore his health. Later, Hooker had a violent encounter with an NPC who insulted him and also robbed a store while the counter was unattended.

He was then chased by the cops and managed to escape by ditching his car and finding a new one. Realizing that the new vehicle could be sold for a pretty penny, he attempted to sell it. On his way, another car blasting loud music rammed into him. He pursued the car and discovered a compound filled with more goods to fence. Hooker explained that two hours into their session, he still hadn’t even come close to completing the story mission.
