Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to be a completionist’s dream. It has been racking up more side content promises than any game to come in the series thus far; there are indications it’s the longest single-player campaign in franchise history, and the world is absolutely gargantuan.
That means we can expect a substantial array of GTA 6 Trophies and Achievements to surface, depending on your platform of choice. In fact, thanks to a recent comment on social media, we know how many are coming, and it’s more than Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 had at launch.
GTA 6 Will Immerse and Engage You
Rockstar Games is all about the ultimate immersion in Grand Theft Auto 6. As they said in a recent interview, they want you to live a life inside GTA 6, which is set to drop in just 11 days, on November 19th. It’s likely the densest Grand Theft Auto title ever made.
While you’re immersed, you’ll be able to chase a thick assortment of Trophies and Achievements. The former if you’re on PlayStation, and the latter if you’re an XBOX player, of course.
What’s interesting is that Grand Theft Auto 6, with 55 Trophies/Achievements, beats both Grand Theft Auto 5 (51) and Red Dead Redemption 2 (52). It’s not a huge edge, but it’s an edge nonetheless.
It’s also worth pointing out that GTA 5 eventually went on to get 78 Trophies/Achievements with the addition of GTA Online content over the years, so there’s every opportunity for GTA 6 to do the same thing.
Hell, perhaps this will be the first Grand Theft Auto 6 title to get a single-player expansion since GTA 4.
Will GTA 6 Have a Platinum Trophy/Mythic Achievement?
If you want to go the whole hog and 100% Grand Theft Auto 6, you’ll be pleased to know that data suggests there are both a Platinum Trophy and a Mythic Achievement. The latter is the new tier that XBOX put in place in recognition of players who have gone the distance with their games.
Grand Theft Auto 6 launches November 19th on XBOX Series X|S and PlayStation 5, and pre-loading will start globally on November 10th.
