Yes, Gears of War: E-Day offers up to five days of early access, although you need to splash out on the privilege of doing so.
Early access for Gears of War: E-Day begins on October 1, five days ahead of the full release, giving you a headstart to jump into the campaign, or to dive into multiplayer.
This has become a customary approach for XBOX with first-party titles, many of which offer a paid bonus of jumping into the game earlier than the full release date.

How to Get Gears of War: E-Day Early Access
Gears of War: E-Day early access is reserved for those who purchase the Premium Edition of the title, which comes with a hefty price-tag.
The Premium Edition of Gears of War: E-Day is priced at $99.99, $30 dollars more than the standard edition, though it also provides seasonal customization packs, and the Bravo Squad Signature Weapon Pack.
Those who have an XBOX Game Pass or PC Game Pass Ultimate subscription can skip the full pre-order and purchase the Premium Edition Upgrade, which is priced at $30, the difference between the two editions.
No drops in prices are expected before the start of early access, so if you want to be among the first to jump in, you’ll need to splash out.
