Gears of War Actor Thinks We’ll Hear About the Next Game in June

The Gears of War actor Liam McIntyre, who voices JD Fenix in the Gears of War franchise, has said that he expects information on its next game in June.

Taking to his Twitter and replying to a fan, McIntyre said, “I have no idea. I think @GearsofWar tells us all in June. :)” when responding to a fan’s question about the series.

Earlier this month, several insiders and journalists suggested that Xbox will be revealing the next Gears of War game at this year’s Xbox showcase, which is scheduled to take place on June 9.

The Verge’s Tom Warren corroborated claims from Giant Bombs Jeff Grubb, while another user with insider information, Shinobi602, suggested that ‘people aren’t ready’ for the reveal of the series’ next game.

As for what exact Xbox will show on the next game is unclear, but with some rumours suggesting that the game is still a ways off from a release, it’s likely that it could just be a CGI trailer, which is common for game reveals.

In addition to Gears of War 6, several rumors have suggested that Xbox is developing a Gears of War collection, but as of yet, no one with tangible credence has corroborated these claims.

Do you think we’ll be seeing Gears of War 6 on June 9? Let us know in the comments below!

  • That’s obvious what about other Xbox projects? Contraband, Wu Tang Clan, Perfect Dark, Banjo, Killer Instinct, the other Coalition game, Project Mara, State Of Decay 3, Double Fine’s next game, the rumored third party exclusive, OD, Blade, Wolfenstein 3, Doom 0, 343’s other game, Compulsion’s game, Undead Labs other game, Fable, Everwild, Outer Worlds 2, New Vegas 2, Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout 5, Evil Within 3, Ghostwire 2, Gears remake, Pro Skater 3 and 4 remake, sci-fi From Software game, what about all of those that’s what they should be following up on. Xbox has nothing. Gears is dead the only way it comes back is if Cliff comes back that would be the only exciting thing.
