Sony has announced that five (!!) games are being made available in December as part of the monthly free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Starting Tuesday, December 2 and running through Monday, January 5, PlayStation Plus members at any level can claim a mix of new and older games that you may have missed in recent years.
Before getting into what’s coming up, you still have until December 1 to claim November’s free games.
PlayStation Plus Essential Games for December 2025

As mentioned, Sony is giving subscribers five free games in December. Usually, it’s three free games but, as they wrote in the post on the PlayStation Blog, they wanted to “make December’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup a special one.”
Now, while there are five games available this month, it’s important to note that they are available in “select regions”. To find out if your region is included, you’ll have to check the PlayStation Store on December 2.
This month, the five games available for PlayStation Plus subscribers are:
- LEGO Horizon Adventures | PS5
- Killing Floor 3 | PS5
- The Outlast Trials | PS4, PS5
- Synduality Echo of Ada | PS5
- Neon White | PS4, PS5
