Fortnite V-Bucks Prices Will Increase This Month

Fortnite has announced that the prices of V-Bucks and Battle Passes will change on March 19, 2026.

The in-game currency used to make purchases in Fortnite for cosmetics and battle passes is called V-Bucks, and the developers have been tinkering with it recently. A few months ago, they announced that players would be able to purchase the ‘exact amount’ of V-Bucks they want. Now, they have changed the pricing structure for the in-game currency.

Fortnite Raises V-Bucks Prices and Drops Battle Pass Prices

As revealed in a new blog post, the V-Bucks price increase comes as “the cost of running Fortnite has gone up a lot”, and the devs are “raising prices to help pay the bills.” Starting March 19, 2026, the $8.99 pack will provide players with 800 V-Bucks instead of 1,000, and will also earn $1.79 back with Epic Rewards. The $22.99 pack will provide 2,400 V-Bucks (previously 2,800 V-Bucks) with a $4.59 return through Epic Rewards.

Coming to the $36.99 pack, which provides 4,500 V-Bucks (previously 5,000 V-Bucks) and returns $7.39 through Epic Rewards. The $89.99 pack now provides 12,500 V-Bucks instead of 13,500 V-Bucks, and players can get get $17.99 back through Epic Rewards. Lastly, the price of the Exact Amount pack has also been increased from $0.50 for 50 V-Bucks to $0.99 for 50 V-Bucks.

Regarding the pricing changes for Fortnite Battle Passes, the main Battle Pass will now cost 800 V-Bucks and grant 800 V-Bucks upon completion. Originally, it was priced at 1,000 V-Bucks and rewarded players with 1,000 V-Bucks plus 500 in the Bonus Rewards. The OG Battle Pass price has been decreased from 1000 V-Bucks to 800 V-Bucks, the Music Pass costs 1,200 V-Bucks instead of 1,400 V-Bucks, and the LEGO Pass price has also been decreased from 1,400 V-Bucks to 1,200 V-Bucks.

Lastly, Fortnite Crew will grant 800 V-Bucks instead of 1,000; the Battle Bundle Cost has been lowered from 2,800 to 2,600 V-Bucks, and existing V-Bucks gift cards will still redeem at their printed values.

In other news, Epic Games has teased another Fortnite and Cyberpunk 2077 crossover. Additionally, a recent claim states that a Game of Thrones collaboration is in development and is ‘coming soon’.
