When Will Fortnite Servers Be Back Up? Fortnite September 17 Downtime, Explained

Fortnite’s regular slew of content updates and downtime should be something that players are familiar with by now, and there’s a fresh period of server unavailability on September 17.

After launching into Chapter 7 Season 4 last month, Epic Games has added new content and collabs in the fresh updates that occur every two weeks, and there are some big additions this time around.

If you’re wondering when you can jump back into Fortnite today, Insider Gaming has all the details.

Fortnite servers are down for several hours for the September 17 update and, as usual, Epic Games hasn’t provided a set time for their return.

However, the array of previous updates and releases points to an expected time, with it likely that the Fortnite servers will be available again at 6 AM ET/11 AM BST.

That’s not nailed down, however, and there could be delays, especially if Epic Games encounters any issues when deploying the latest update and content, which will, of course, need to be resolved.

As ever, the best place to keep track of when the Fortnite servers are back online is social media, and make sure to update your game before the servers are back so you can jump in immediately.

What’s in The Fortnite September 17 Update?

Fortnite’s September 17 update is headlined by the addition of a huge collab to the fray, with Kingdom Hearts finally making its debut in the title.

Revealed at the start of the season, the Kingdom Hearts collab will bring new content to the Item Shop, as well as in-game collab items, including a Kingdom Hearts Key Weapon.

Additionally, a Pac-Man Sidekick is set to be launched, alongside gameplay additions, while other collab items include Cyberpunk Edgerunners and Ironmouse.

There will also be a new slew of Sprites to collect and Loot Hacks to utilize, alongside Super Styles in the Battle Pass, and Epic Games may have more surprises in store.
