When it comes to creature-capture games, one of the toughest and most memorable choices you’ll make is your starter pick, and it’s very much the same in Aniimo. Just after a short intro segment, you’ll stumble upon a mural of two legendary creatures: Helion and Lunara.
With only two to choose from, it might seem like an easier decision, but there’s still a lot to consider, especially if they’re going to be with you for the long run—and can you eventually collect whichever one you leave behind?

Helion & Lunara Compared
Generally speaking, Helion and Lunara are very similar Aniimo, as they share a variety of different stats.
The biggest difference between the two is the playstyles. Whilst both are Light-type and DPS Aniimo, Helion is a melee attacker, whilst Lunara keeps its distance and uses ranged attacks against enemies. Helion also prioritises damage output, whereas Lunara offers a few more support abilities that can benefit the rest of the team.
There’s not much to separate them, but here’s a quick comparison between the two Aniimo:

Should You Choose Lunara Or Helion In Aniimo?
There isn’t too much to differentiate between Helion and Lunara, so the decision largely comes down to your personal preference.
That said, most of the community seems to be of the opinion that Lunara is the better pick, and it’s hard not to agree. Helion might be the better damage dealer, but Lunara’s ranged attacks are harder to come by, and its support abilities ensure that it remains a valuable member of the team even when its damage might fall off.
However, neither of the Aniimo outshines the other, so you wouldn’t be at a disadvantage should you pick Helion over Lunara. After all, you can just find the other one later on in the game, right?
Can You Get Both Helion & Lunara In Aniimo?
Unfortunately, you cannot get both Helion and Lunara in Aniimo, meaning your decision is notably final.
That might add an extra layer of conflict to your choice, but fret not, as there are suggestions that whichever one you don’t pick might be unlocked in a future update, or even a quest further down the line. Until that’s confirmed, though, you’ll need to assume that your decision is final.
Despite that, with the details above, hopefully you can pick one once and for all. Worst case, just choose whichever one you think is the cutest!
