With the release of Chapter 5, Fortnite has added weapon mods as a new feature, which allows players to modify their guns. This new feature not only enhances weapons, but it gives players a more versatile loot pool to play around with.

Weapon mods have been seen in popular Battle Royale titles such as Warzone and PUBG: Battlegrounds, but never before in Fortnite. This new feature has got a lot of players changing how they think of their loot pool, making the gameplay a bit more sophisticated.
As of now, there are only 11 weapon mods players can use, spanning across four different categories. Here is every weapon mod in Fortnite Chapter 5.
Optics
Fortnite began adding different optics back in Chapter 3 (other than the infamous sniper) which excited players. Now, with multiple different scopes, including red-eyes and more, players can customize their guns to have the exact optic they prefer.

- Sniper Scope (4x scoped view)
- P2X Optic (2x scoped view)
- Holo-13 Optic (1.3x scoped view)

Magazines
Magazine mods can really change exactly how you play the game. Depending on what mods you have, you might end up shooting less to save ammo and more. As of now, the game only has two magazines for players to modify their weapons with.

Underbarrels
When trying to adjust how your gun fires, underbarrels become extremely useful. From giving the player better control over the gun’s recoil to lasers that help with hip-firing, underbarrels are essential when modding your weapon.

- Laser
- Angled Foregrip
- Vertical Foregrip
Barrels
Barrels are placed on the tip of your gun. As of now, the game only has two barrels. The silencer reduces aim but makes the gun quieter, while the muzzle break helps to reduce recoil.

As of now, these are the only weapon mods in Fortnite. Whether or not the game will be releasing more us unknown.
