Escape from Tarkov Adaptive Diplomacy Quest Guide—Where Are Ref’s Camps?

Escape from Tarkov’s new Tarkov Hospitality event pits Ref against Jaeger, and it offers players a string of new quests to discover. It all begins with Guardian of Nature, a simple fetch quest that moves on to something more action-based quite quickly.

In Adaptive Diplomacy, players must eliminate PMCs at specific locations on either Woods, Customs, or Shoreline, but those specific locations aren’t immediately obvious.

Read on to learn everything you need to know about Adaptive Diplomacy in Escape from Tarkov.

Where to Find Ref’s Camps in Escape from Tarkov

Adaptive Diplomacy is not a difficult task by any means, but it’s one of those kill quests that requires you to eliminate enemy players (or AI PMCs) in very specific locations. That means that if nobody happens to walk into those locations, you’ll end up frustrated before long.

Fortunately, there are a few locations you can check for Adaptive Diplomacy in this new EFT event.

Ref’s Camp on Woods

Ref’s camp on Woods is located at the EMERCOM Camp alongside the lake, on the route to the Sawmill. It’s the ‘FOB’ location where you find lots of food and medical items, and it’s one of the main hubs of the game.

Ref’s Camp on Customs

Ref’s camp on Customs is located anywhere in the area of Dorms, the duo of buildings along the main road, near the vehicle extract. Again, this is arguably the central hub of Customs, so it shouldn’t take too long to find PMCs.

Ref’s Camp on Shoreline

Ref’s camp on Shoreline is in the top-right of the map, in the Smuggler’s Base location. It’s one of the newest parts of the Shoreline environment, and it’s right in the corner, near a minefield – so be wary!

Don’t Attack the Clean-Up Crew

Be warned that when you head to any of these locations, you’ll see Ref’s ‘clean-up crew’ members in the area, but they’re neutral to PMCs by default. If you eliminate any of them while finding PMCs, you’ll fail this quest immediately.

Just focus on killing PMCs, and before long, you’ll be headed to the next quest, Distributed Strike.

For completing Adaptive Diplomacy, you’ll get:

  • 15,000 EXP
  • 50 GP Coins
  • 1 x AK-74N rifle
  • 2 x AK-74 magazines
  • 1 x BT ammo pack
