EA SPORTS WRC Builder Mode Explained

EA Sports WRC is set to bring an all-new builder mode to the series, giving players the opportunity to build their own rally car. The feature was first reported exclusively by Insider Gaming in September 2022, and now we have even more details to share.

What is WRC Builder Mode?

EA Sports WRC Builder is a new mode that will give players the opportunity to build their own rally car to real-life competition specifications. Players can build a car in Rally 1, Rally 2, and Rally 3 categories.

Players are first led through the process of building their own rally car, of which the player chooses the following:

  • The Chassis Layout (where to place your engine)
  • The Mechanical Parts (suspension, brakes, engine, etc.)
  • Body Shell
  • Exterior Customization (wing mirrors, spoilers, etc.)
  • Interior Customization (dash display, seatbelts, etc.)
  • Livery Creation

Players will be able to test drive their rally car and make adjustments prior to going out and racing in the world. Players will also be able to upgrade and repair their vehicle using WRC’s in-game currency.

Details on the in-game currency were not provided, but the game takes a more realistic approach by using a Benefactor to set budgets etc. This was said to stop the player from just constantly accumulating money.

EA Sports WRC launches as a standard edition only on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on November 3 for $49.99.
