With Battlefield 6’s multiplayer reveal happening this week along with, likely, details on when pre-orders will open, fans have been wondering what the price of the game will be. While many expect there to be a higher-priced “Phantom Edition”, there’s been no confirmation of the Standard Edition pricing. That said, it looks as though EA will be sticking with the $70 base price for Battlefield 6 when it launches.
During the company’s latest earnings call on Tuesday, CEO Andrew Wilson was asked about game prices jumping up to $80 at its competitors. Wilson then said the company isn’t looking at making “any changes on pricing at this stage”.

“That’s in the construct of, we already offer a fairly broad pricing scheme across our various products,” Wilson said. “When you think about everything from free-to-play through to our premium products and deluxe editions, our orientation is always to capture the full spectrum of pricing so that we can serve players in the best way possible and offer them the greatest value.
“We’ll continue to look at opportunities to deliver great value to our players through various pricing schemes over the course of time, but no dramatic changes planned yet.”
Alongside EA’s decision to keep standard pricing where it’s been the last few years, Xbox recently announced a reversal of its upcoming first-party title pricing plans.
