The first gameplay trailer for EA FC 27 has confirmed the September 25, 2026, release date for the title, with the latest entry in the franchise launching once again on the final Friday of the month.
The date was previously leaked, alongside a host of other details, including pricing, editions, and a seven-day early-access window. Now, though, it’s time for official details, with the new gameplay trailer lifting the veil on some of the fresh additions.
Gameplay Trailer Reveals New Details For EA FC 27
Before the trailer dropped, EA teased the arrival of The Grounds, a new open-world game mode for EA FC 27, but we’ve finally got an official look at it, as well as a host of new features and updates.
The Grounds is the social hub at the centre of EA FC 27, where you can play a variety of game modes, ranging from Kickabouts to Clubs. Whilst EA FC 27 is available on past-gen consoles, The Grounds is exclusive to PS5, XBOX Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a new EA FC title without a host of gameplay changes, and there seem to be a fair few on the way. Dynamic corners, enhanced attacking awareness and player-focused defending are all at the forefront of the updates.
Then there’s the Transfer Market, which has been reworked for Manager Career mode. Realistic player values and active club bidding are being added, along with new negotiation tactics like buy-back clauses.
As for the main money-maker, Ultimate Team sees the addition of the FUT Gallery, allowing you to present your Club’s identity like never before. Collect cards and earn rewards, with over 21,000 players from 800+ clubs and national teams all in the database.
