EA Sports’ first patch for EA FC 27 has been deployed ahead of the full launch of the title, with one major change being an apparent reduction to weekly Season Points.
Season Points, or SP, in FC 27 are earned across all game modes for playing matches and ticking off particular objectives, earning you progress along the Season Pass and providing major rewards, including in-game cosmetics, new players for Career Mode, and Ultimate Team items.
However, it appears those who played FC 27 during the early access period may have a bigger head start than it initially seemed.
EA Sports Nerfs FC 27 Weekly SP
Although the early access period, which gives players who purchased the Ultimate Edition up to seven days of early access, was always going to put some players way ahead of others, tweaks to the SP system have extended that gap.
As posted by UTSources on X, the rewards for completing Weekly Objectives across EA FC 27’s range of game modes have been reduced.
The reduction in SP comes alongside players on social media reporting that they have managed to bypass the maximum limit for Daily XP earned through playing matches, which sits at 850 SP, and some are already showing evidence of reaching the maximum level.

Naturally, given the season runs for four more weeks and the game hasn’t even fully launched yet, that was not EA Sports’ intention, and the nerf to SP from Weekly Objectives will slow that charge down.
However, it does provide bad news for the more casual FC 27 players, as there’s less SP to earn on a weekly basis, meaning it will now take longer to complete the pass.
The SP system may be tweaked again in future, however, and there will likely be a bunch of new Objectives available in the full launch.
