The wait for the release of Roadcraft is nearly over and you may be wondering whether Early Access is available to jump in earlier. If that’s the case, we’ve got the details you need.
Roadcraft is set to be a sleeper hit of 2025, following on from the success of its predecessor, Snowrunner, and the early signs are promising after it boasted one of the most-played demos at Steam Next Fest earlier this year.
Expectation for Roadcraft is high and, if you are like me, you’ll want to play as soon as you can.
Can You Play Roadcraft Early Access?

Roadcraft does not provide an option to play Early Access and is instead available to all players at exactly the same time.
While it has become commonplace for a paid-for Early Access period to be available for new games, particularly AAA releases, it isn’t a guarantee. Roadcraft doesn’t follow the Early Access trend and instead follows the likes of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which also had no Early Access.
This is a change in approach from Saber Interactive, however, which released Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game in an Early Unlock form four days ahead of the global release.
No such access is available for Roadcraft, however, so we’ll all be counting down the minutes together.
Roadcraft Editions
There are just two editions of Roadcraft available: The Standard Edition and the Rebuild Edition.
The Standard Edition includes the base game and a pre-order bonus of the Aramatsu Bowhead 30T Vehicle, and is playable from the March 20 release date.
Meanwhile, the Rebuild Edition also provides the same pre-order vehicle, along with the Rebuild Expansion—new DLC planned for later in 2025 that introduces two additional maps, new vehicles, new contracts, and new activities.
Given than the Rebuild Expansion is DLC, expect this bonus to also be purchasable separately in the future, though the Rebuild Edition of the game may prove to be cheaper.
