When it comes to multiplayer titles, the topics of crossplay always arise, and for good reason! Not everyone owns the same systems, and it can be hard to game together with your friends if you’re on different platforms—especially when multiplayer games don’t offer crossplay.
With Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, the same questions begin to show up: Will it have crossplay, and does it offer cross-progression between platforms? For many, these can be dealbreakers before buying a game, and it’s important that they’re answered as soon as possible.
Thankfully, Insider Gaming has it all figured out, and it’s mostly good news. Here’s whether Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls offers crossplay or cross-progression.
Does Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Support Crossplay?
Yes, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls supports full crossplay across all platforms, meaning you can play with your friends and family regardless of the system they’re using.
Thankfully, this is becoming more and more common, as gamers are no longer restricted to their platform of choice. That said, it does still depend on which platform the game is on, as Marvel Tokon isn’t available on every system—XBOX fans have been left out.
That shouldn’t be too surprising, as Marvel Tokon is developed alongside PlayStation Studios and published by Sony. However, since it’s multiplayer, it’ll be available on PC alongside the PS5, and those gamers will be able to compete against one another with no restrictions in place.
Does Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Support Cross-Progression?
As things stand, it’s not been confirmed whether Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will support cross-progression across platforms.
Until it is confirmed, it’s best to assume that Marvel Tokon won’t support cross-progression and that your progress will remain locked to a single platform. That should hopefully allow you to make a safer, more informed choice when deciding which platform to buy the game on.
That said, there’s always the chance that cross-progression is implemented, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. Should Arc System Works provide an update or clarification on the matter, this article will be promptly updated, so be sure to check back as we draw closer to launch.
