Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is Coming September 2024

In a new trailer released today, THQ Nordic announced that Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed will launch on September 24, 2024.

The trailer featured new gameplay and narration from creative director Warren Spector. It also showcased a Collector’s Edition of the game.

Fans can pre-order the Collector’s Edition now. Those who pre-order can receive a unique costume pack for free and 24-hour early access.

However, early access will not be available on PC and Steam. The costume pack will feature characters like Steamboat Willie and Football Mickey.

The Collector’s Edition will cost $199.99, and has limited availability. This edition includes a Mickey Mouse Statue, an Oswald keychain, a tin sign, postcards, and a collector’s steelbook. The steelbook will feature the classic box art from the original game.

Epic Mickey originally launched in 2010, and the platformer still has decent reviews. It currently has a 7.4 user rating on Metacritic, and many still count Epic Mickey among the best Disney games.

In addition to the signature magic paintbrush, Rebrushed plans to introduce new skills for players to use. Some of these skills include a dash, ground pound, and sprinting. However, the game’s website still describes Rebrushed as a “faithful remake.”

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch when it launches in September.

  • That’s awesome Warren Spector is working on this hopefully it opens the door for Epic Mickey 3 and Epic Donald. Maybe finally we can get a The Simpsons Hit & Run remake. Embracer owns THQ they also own Eidos maybe they can finally bring Spector back to continue Deus Ex and Thief.
