As predicted, dates for the Diablo 4 beta dropped during IGN’s Fan Fest, which took place over the last few days. Last night, the dates were revealed in full, setting out the path for the Early Access phase, driven by pre-order users, and the open beta phase, which will be made available to the general public without restriction.
It has been more than three years since Diablo 4 was revealed at BlizzCon 2019, and since then, fans of the dungeon-raiding RPG have been drip-fed content by the developer, Blizzard Entertainment. Last year, at The Game Awards, a new trailer dropped, showcasing the game in all its majesty, but now, the Diablo 4 beta dates have been confirmed, and fans are monumentally excited.
The Diablo 4 Beta is Almost Here
There’s not long to wait for the Diablo 4 beta to drop, but it’ll arrive a little early for users that have already pre-ordered the game. Of course, if you want to access the beta earlier, then you can just pre-order it before the Early Access phase goes live.
From March 17th to the 19th, pre-ordered customers will have access to the full beta, while the general public will get access between the 24th and 26th of March.
Reportedly, the beta will offer a ‘significant look at the game’, according to IGN, following the Fan Fest event. It’ll deliver the entire prologue and first act to fans of the franchise, offering up an array of side quests and a high level cap. For Early Access users, both phases will be made available to enjoy, and the same game files can be accessed across both stages of the beta.
However, progress made in the beta will not carry over to the full release of the game, which will take place on June 6th.
Diablo 4 is set to drop on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
