Just when you thought CD Projekt RED was done with Cyberpunk 2077, the developer announced Update 2.5. The details were supposed to be secret, but content creators were told about the new features, so now we know what’s coming and the launch date.
Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.5 was announced by CD Projekt RED. You’d think the team had enough on its plate with new The Witcher games and content, but if you’re a fan of Cyberpunk 2077, the game’s longevity is about to be stretched even further with some genuinely welcome additions.
When is Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 Coming Out?
October 22, 2026, is the release date for Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5.
You don’t have to wait long for the new update. CD Projekt Red dropped the surprise announcement on October 20, and the full update arrives a couple of days later.

It’s a nice pre-Halloween treat, but the real trick is all the new features and how they fundamentally change the game. Spoiler warning: Some of these are major changes that should have been in since launch!
All New Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 Features
The 2.5 Update for Cyberpunk 2077 includes the feature to adjust FOV on consoles, mod support, the ability to dual-wield weapons, and much more.
FOV changer? DUAL-WIELDING WEAPONS? These are some serious upgrades, and it makes you wonder why it’s taken so long for some of them to be added.

The features were leaked through YouTuber Nemo, who was one of several content creators who were shown the upcoming games early, and they broke the embargo. Nemo’s video has since been taken down, but the information is still out there.
