Cursed Blood was released in early access last month and has since earned a “mostly positive” rating on Steam. In this 4-player co-op roguelike game, players embark on a samurai action adventure as vengeful apes wielding katanas. Your objective is to take revenge on the mafia that has desecrated the sacred Shrine of Vermillion.
Players can experience the action through local or online co-op, or embark on the adventure solo. The combat in this game truly shines, allowing players to execute a series of ultra-fast moves to take down enemies in devastating ways. You can fully utilize high-speed melee combat to your advantage. Interestingly, healing in the game involves consuming the blood of your defeated enemies.
The levels in the game are procedurally generated, offering plenty to explore, secrets to discover, and dangers lurking around every corner. Players will have access to katanas as well as various types of guns. Once you run out of ammunition, you can even throw your guns at your enemies.
In Cursed Blood, you’ll encounter a variety of enemies and evolving bosses. Some of these bosses become even stronger during the fight, and your objective is to defeat them, take their heads, and offer them at the Shrine of Vermillion. Additionally, the game features high replayability once you unlock World Mutations. This allows you to modify your runs, earn new weapons and powers, and face even more enemies.
