Crossfire has been announced during Summer Game Fest, with the title developed by That’s No Moon, a team driven by creating narrative driven story games.
The game follows two soldiers from opposing factions who must work together to guarantee their survival. It is connected to the long-running free-to-play, Korea-based FPS sharing the same name, Crossfire. That said, it’s an entirely different type of game, as seen in the trailer below.
More Crossfire Details
Perhaps the defining feature of Crossfire is the complete reworking of how cover-shooters operate. To do this, That’s No Moon has developed a new system that rewards tactical thinking, stealth, and reactive thinking: Adaptive Cover.
With this system, the protagonist, Leyla, adaptively adjusts her stance to the variety of terrain and the enemy’s line of sight. The devs claim it’s an active skill to master, as it entirely reworks how you interact with your surroundings.
