Crimson Desert developers have announced that their Charting the Unknown DLC has been delayed by two weeks.
Originally planned for October 15, the paid expansion for Crimson Desert was set to release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, bringing a brand-new sinister presence and a political conflict into the mix. Players can also explore ancient secrets resting beneath the ocean. However, players will now have to wait until October 29 to play the new DLC.
Crimson Desert Charting the Unknown DLC Now Releasing Alongside Phantom Blade
Through a new post on X (formerly Twitter), Pearl Abyss informed players that Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown DLC has been delayed. The developers have understood they need more time to provide players “a more polished and stable gameplay experience. As a result, the DLC will now be released two weeks later, on October 29, 2026. Interestingly, the new date directly coincides with Phantom Blade’s release date.

The new DLC will see the adventure extend beyond Pywel’s shores, with players getting a ship to sail across the ocean and also dive underneath to find treasures, explore ruins, and discover secrets. There’s also an enhanced building mode that lets players build and design their homes with a lot more freedom. Other than that, there’s a new story to follow alongside Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane, with a new ominous presence in the desert.
