CONTROL Resonant Goes Gold, But Physical Edition Delayed

Remedy Entertainment has announced that CONTROL: Resonant has gone gold over a month ahead of its release. However, the physical version has been delayed by one month.

Control: Resonant, the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2019 title, is almost around the corner, and players can’t wait to get into it. The developers have also revealed that the sequel has almost twice as many hours as the previous. Now, players will be even happier knowing that there can’t be any more delays on the table.

CONTROL Resonant Physical Edition Delayed to October

A recent announcement from the official Remedy Entertainment X account (formerly Twitter) reveals that CONTROL: Resonant has gone gold. In the gaming industry, the term “going gold” signifies that a studio has completed the final development of a title and that it is ready to be shipped to fans. It’s a significant achievement for Remedy to have reached this milestone over a month before the game’s release.

However, it’s not all good news: only the digital version of CONTROL Resonant is ready to ship on release day. For the physical edition, the developers will need “just a little more time”; as a result, they have pushed the release of this version to October 15, 2026.

Interested readers can go ahead and pre-order CONTROL Resonant now to get their hands on the Hiss Corruption Outfits and Pickpocket’s Tool Artifact. There’s also a digital deluxe edition of the game, which includes additional bonuses, including a digital artbook, the original soundtrack, Untapped Artifact (Wallet), Starter Resource Bundle, and the AWE Mission Outfit.
