Images of the concept art for the cancelled Black Panther game and some plot details have seemingly surfaced online.
Cancelled Black Panther Game’s Concept Art Leaked Through EA Survey
A user on X (formerly Twitter), notfunEman, has posted images of what seem to be concept art for the now-cancelled Black Panther game, which they were able to get hold of through a ‘confidential EA survey’. The user was also shown a scene during the survey, which gave him some plot details about the cancelled game.
It seems players would take on the role of Azari, the son of T’Challa. However, Azari was supposed to be “one of multiple playable characters.” The scene that was shown to the user started off with Azari facing off T’Challa in ritual combat, and the scene looked “very similar to the film.” During the fight, a Skrull ship invades the area and kidnaps T’Challa, and that’s where the scene ends.
Several concept art images have been revealed, some are rough drawings, and others look like thoroughly thought-out environments. The first few images are what could be rough drawings of Azari, the Skrulls, and the Wakandans. In the next set of concept art, we see Black Panther checking out a holographic world map and images of a high-tech city.
The third set of images shows Black Panther visiting what looks like different areas of Wakanda, with images showcasing maybe the biome of the Jabari Tribe, a Wakandan city, some form of ruins, and a jet flying through a desert. The concept art looks promising, and it would have definitely been exciting to see the game come to fruition.
In other news, Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel may not be released in the next 4-5 years. Also, a Death Stranding Anime has been confirmed. What are your thoughts on the cancelled Black Panther game’s concept art and plot details? Let us know below and join the official Insider Gaming forums discussion.
