Borderlands 4 State of Play Is Coming Tomorrow

Gearbox and PlayStation have announced that the Borderlands 4 State of Play event will air on Wednesday, April 30.

In an announcement via social media and the PlayStation Blog, it was revealed that the Borderlands 4 State of Play will last “over 20 minutes”. The show will air at 5pm ET/2pm PT/10pm BST on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

“In this upcoming State of Play, strap in with me and Anthony Nicholson, Senior Project Producer, for over 20 minutes of developer-guided gameplay, including missions, killer weapons, exciting Action Skills, new and returning characters, and more,” Gearbox Software creative director Graeme Timmins said.

In addition to the showcase announcement, it was revealed that Borderlands 4 will now release on September 12, 2025. The new release date is 11 days sooner than the originally announced September 23. When it launches, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
