How each team qualified for the BLAST R6 Salt Lake City Major
Europe MENA League Kickoff saw a significant shakeup, with G2 moving from third in Stage 2 2025 to claiming the 2025 Kickoff title. Virtus.pro finished runners-up, after a clean Upper Bracket run was ended by an imperious G2 roster.
For Falcons, it was the opposite trajectory as G2, falling from winners to barely scraping into the event as the fourth seed, having to start in Phase 1 after losing the Lower Bracket Final to regional rivals, Twisted Minds.
NAL saw M80’s hegemony in the region collapse, with Five Fears now the top dog after defeating Wildcard in the Upper Bracket Final. Dark Zeo defeated Shopify Rebellion to take the final Phase 2 position, with Spacestation Gaming also missing out on Salt Lake City.
South America saw Six Invitational 2026 winners FaZe Clan only qualify third after Fluxo W7M upset them in the Upper Bracket, only to miss out on qualifying themselves.
FURIA once again showed their class with victory in the Kickoff split, with NIP claiming the second spot and LOS taking the Phase 2 spot in an impressive underdog run.
Weibo Gaming secured the Phase 2 APL Asia spot, defeating Daystar, who will start in Phase 2. Joining them in Phase 2 are small region winners, CAG from Asia North and Enterprise from Oceania.
CN League saw All Gamers dominate, only dropping a single map on their way to securing the top Chinese spot, with EDward Gaming, Wolves, and Four Angry Men all set to start in Phase 2.
Wolves will play the event in a severely depleted state after the sudden departures of Recap and Ip ‘KarTy’ Chun. The pair were released for ‘personal reasons’ (translated) according to Wolves’ Weibo, but rumours surrounding the release have pointed to historic social media posts as a potential reason.
