Microsoft has teased a showcase that’s set to reveal the next instalment of a beloved franchise on June 9, and it’ll take place just after the Xbox Games Showcase has wrapped up. It hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s widely believed – and claimed by insiders – that this will be an official reveal event for Black Ops Gulf War, this year’s Call of Duty title.
The Big Reveal
In a very Black Ops-themed image, Microsoft teased the impending reveal, marking REDACTED over several words and showing an image that also boasts thick, black marker strikes. In the image, we see three wolf heads sitting atop a shield that’s hovering over an image of the Capitol Building in Washington DC – or that’s what it looks like, at least.
In the latest leaks and rumours, it was claimed that Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War will feature an open-world campaign. It’ll also reportedly boast a round-based Zombies mode for the first time in years, and it’ll have an exciting multiplayer platform featuring remastered maps.
This innovative Call of Duty title has been in development for several years, and expectations are sky-high. It could be a make-or-break moment for the Call of Duty franchise, as in recent years, sentiments have slipped.
