August is stacked full of major releases, and while it may not be the biggest title on the agenda, Big Walk is expected to make waves when it lands, and crossplay is a major component.
Big Walk, developed by the team behind Untitled Goose Game, is a co-operative puzzle-based title, tasking players with completing various challenges, and voice communication is crucial.

Does Big Walk Support Crossplay?
Yes, Big Walk supports crossplay, allowing you to play with friends regardless of the platform they are based on, opening the door for more chaotic adventures.
Big Walk utilizes a code-generating system for accessing multiplayer, though there’s also an option to use your friends list on specific platforms, and this allows you to invite or join sessions across any platforms.
As a result, Big Walk players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 can all play together, though it’s worth noting that voice communication is vital in the game.
While this won’t be an issue for those on PS5 or PC, chat features are more limited on Nintendo Switch 2, so you may need to use the likes of Discord for communication.
Does Big Walk Support Cross-Progression?
No, Big Walk does not support cross-progression, and you cannot transfer your progress on one platform to another. Additionally, there are other restrictions.
Only the host’s progress is saved in a Big Walk co-op session, so you won’t be able to continue where you left off if you are not the host.
The game is designed around longer multiplayer sessions, rather than drop-in gameplay, and the process is to have the same player host every time.
If you want to a different player to host, you will have to start again from scratch, so it’s worth maintaining the same host throughout.
