5 Best Games Like Starfield

Starfield was a long time in the making and the first single-player game from Bethesda Softworks since Fallout 4 in 2015. It looks like it will be a long time before we see The Elder Scrolls VI be released, so it is a good job that Starfield is a huge game that will keep you busy for a while. But, if you want to continue your Space exploration journey, or see what else Bethesda has to offer, here are five of the best games like Starfield.

5. The Outer Worlds

Obsidian Entertainment beat Bethesda by four years when it came to releasing Fallout in space. Despite being created by different developers, many have theorized that the two franchises take place in the same universe, even if unofficially. If you’ve been having with Starfield and want a similar game to jump into to continue your space adventures, The Outer Worlds could be the game for you.

4. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition

Mass Effect Legendary Edition brings the first three games in the series into the modern era with an excellent remaster. If you enjoy games such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, you will enjoy Mass Effect. The series has an excellent story, gripping gameplay, and a lot of space exploration.

3. No Man’s Sky

No Man’s Sky had a rough start, garnering a lot of criticism at launch. But the developers never gave up and completely turned things around. You can explore an endless universe with no loading screens. Many people expected Starfield to be like No Man’s Sky, so if the game didn’t quite live up to expectations in terms of space exploration, then play the game that you based your expectations on.

2. Fallout 4

Starfield is often referred to as “Fallout in Space,” so if the series has eluded you over the years, now is a great time to check it out. Fallout 4 put the player into the post-apocalyptic world of Boston following a nuclear holocaust. If you enjoyed the gameplay style and mechanics found in Starfield then Fallout 4 will be a natural fit for you.

1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Like Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is another game by Bethesda and plays very similar to Fallout and Starfield. The Elder Scrolls is a fantasy RPG as opposed to a more realistic experience, instead allowing you to become a warrior, mage, or many of the other classes and races on offer. It is hard to believe that Skyrim is now 12 years old and we are still many years off the next entry in the series being released. It’s a good job Skyrim is a huge game and can provide endless content thanks to mods because we have a long wait ahead before The Elder Scrolls VI is released.
