A new post by the Battlefield 6 developers reveals that Season 4 Naval Warfare is all set to release on July 21, 2026.
Players have long been aware that Battlefield 6 will include naval combat in the upcoming season, along with other additions such as new maps and gameplay elements that enhance the experience of warfare at sea, as outlined in the roadmap. Now, players have a release date for this seafaring update, along with some gameplay clips.
Battlefield 6 Season 4 Naval Warfare Update Arrives on July 21
The release date for Battlefield 6 Season 4 was revealed in the official account’s latest X post (formerly Twitter). The post also adds that this season will feature their largest map ever, dynamic waves, new vehicles and weapons, and all-out warfare across land, air, and sea. A new trailer has been released, featuring a mix of gameplay and cinematic footage, which players can check out below.
The new trailer for the Naval Warfare update kicks off with the player riding a speedboat as a full-on battle rages at sea. You would need to avoid the underwater mines; additionally, we got to see the dynamic waves in action and how they will definitely impact your gameplay.

Players then got to see glimpses of the Tsuru Reef map, the latest addition to Battlefield 6 Season 4 Naval Warfare. We got to see the huge body of water running alongside the land, with battles taking place across different terrains and involving vehicles. We were also shown a collection of new vehicles and weapons, with a new homing torpedo attack being teased in the trailer.
The trailer’s final focus was the return of Wake Island, another map that incorporates Naval Combat and has been reimagined for the latest game with added scale, systems, and modern settings. Here, we also see ships with mortar cannons, showcasing the destruction they can cause.
