Battlefield 2042 Next Mid-Season Event is December 22nd

The event will be similar to October “Liquidators” event and will last until January 10th, 2023.

It’s believed the new event, just like the Liquidators event, will feature new gamemodes, skins, and other cosmetics.

Popular Battlefield dataminer temporyal has already discovered eight new skins coming to the event. One set of skins is a part of a “Black Storm” unit and will feature four epic rarity skins:

  • Death (Casper)
  • Pestilence (Falck)
  • War (Mackay)
  • Famine (Lis)

The other four skins found will be a part of a group called the “Nordvik Control Corps” and will feature:

  • Bulwark (Boris)
  • Archangel (Sundance)
  • Dominant Eye (Lis)
  • Overseer (Irish)

No other details on what the new event entails have yet been found or announced officially. However, judging the past event announcement, we could see a new trailer on what the event entails on December 15.

After the mid-season event, EA has said that the next update is scheduled for the end of January, which is believed to be update 3.2. Update 3.2 will the long-awaited reintroduction of Classes to Battlefield 2042.

On Battlefield 2042 Specialists and its future update, DICE has said:

“All our existing Specialists will be placed within defined roles with a set of gadgets and equipment that best suit their purpose on the battlefield. While we’re not revealing them today, our Season 4 Specialist will be placed within the Recon class. This will also be the final Specialist that we’re planning to bring to Battlefield 2042. With the return to Classes and our roster of 14 in total, we are happy with the amount of Specialists and variety of gameplay that they will allow you to experience.”

“So our focus will be continuing to listen to your feedback in order to expand the sandbox in other ways by bringing design and balance changes for your class-based combat, along with continuing to expand on skins and cosmetics to give you more ways to stand out on the battlefield.”
