Assassin’s Creed Red was first revealed back in 2022 and it looks to be the game that fans have been wanting for many years. So far there isn’t much information regarding the game but that could be set to change soon. Here is everything we know so far about Assassin’s Creed Red.
Assassin’s Creed Red Release Date
No release date for Assassin’s Creed Red has been given, but Ubisoft has stated that it will be “the biggest blockbuster for 2024.” All of the main series Assassin’s Creed games have been released in either October or November so it is extremely likely that will see the game be released in one of those months next year.
What Platforms Will Assassin’s Creed Red Be Released On?
It is unconfirmed which platforms Assassin’s Creed Red will launch on, but it will likely bypass the previous generation of consoles. This means we can expect the game to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Assassin’s Creed Red Setting
The Assassin’s Creed series is known for taking players across the world in many different periods, from Italy, France, America, Russia, China, and the Caribbean. Although not confirmed by Ubisoft, it does seem that Assassin’s Creed Red will be set in Ancient Japan, which has long been highly requested by fans. Marc-Alexis Côté, the Vice President and Executive Producer for the series told fans that the game will “let players explore one of their most-awaited settings ever.”
Assassin’s Creed Red Could Feature A Female Protagonist
Traditionally, Assassin’s Creed has usually featured male protagonists, although there have been some female ones in more recent games, such as Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Eivor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Earlier this year, Twitter user j0nathan revealed that Assassin’s Creed Red will feature a female Shinobi protagonist called Naoe Fujibayashi. She will start the game as the enemy of the male protagonist but throughout the story, the two will become allies and work together.
The Protagonist Will Be A Real Person For The First Time
There are many historical figures seen throughout the Assassin’s Creed series, but the protagonists you play are not. Characters such as Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad, and Edward Kenway have become iconic characters in their own rights but they are fictional. For the first time, one of the protagonists will be a real person, based on a real-life African Samurai called Yasuke. It is unclear whether Ubisoft will use Yasuke’s real name or whether they will fictionalize him, but with historical figures being included as NPCs it could mean they will use his real name.
Will Assassin’s Creed Red Be On PS Plus Or Xbox Game Pass?
It is possible that Assassin’s Creed Red could launch on PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass, although extremely unlikely. However, it will launch on day one as part of Ubisoft’s own Ubisoft+ service on PC. Ubisoft+ gives subscribers access to over 100 Ubisoft games, as well as new releases on day one. Microsoft recently began a partnership with Ubisoft to bring the service to Xbox Game Pass but it is unlikely to include new releases at launch, although it should appear on the service at some point. PS Plus also has Ubisoft Classics as part of PS Plus Extra and Premium, but this doesn’t include new releases.

Woof. How on earth did this take happen? We’ve known the switch 2 hardware for over a year now.
An iteration is more powerful hardware, like psx > ps2 > ps3 > ps4 > ps5.
A revolution is something that fundamentally changes how the games are designed/played gamecube > wii > wii u.
He’s saying their won’t be any stupid gimmick forced into the switch 2.
It’s sad society is upside down only knowing guns and violence rather then to respect guns and be safe it’s all extremes now. Either extreme ‘ban all guns including finger guns’ or ‘Allow people to be dicks and kill each other’ with no room for common sense. The more we pump the media with violence the worst things will become. While you can’t blame any one product for violence it’s all of them combined that’s the real issue.
It never was ‘Doom’ that caused Columbine it was the fact that media has endorsed violence in general that it became a problem regardless of whether Doom was released or not. The Media would have found new fuel to burn. Companies have zero decency in what our young ones are exposed to when their brains are not fully mature to make adult choices.
This is a lot like the movie Tomorrowland where the ‘asshole’ guy decided if he had the media pump the generation full of violence his thinking was they would get disgusted with it and want a more peaceful world thus avoiding the 99th percentile scenario he tried so much to change but couldn’t which is where the young boy steps in and the cute robot girl.
The old guy is also the other boy in the beginning that goes into It’s A Small World and ends up in that weird future the future kid sees it as a virtual reality ad as he puts it on unknowingly and only finds out when he runs into something. Or was it falling down into something? I can’t remember and the kid finds out from the old man that future doesn’t exist anymore.
However where the old guy was flawed was instead of society getting fed up with violence they ate it right up and fanned the flames. It still wounded up to the future he was avoiding. I enjoyed the last part where the Effile Tower hid his last time machine which agents chased him and the boy to.
Seeing how buggy Mirage is on PS5, l won’t be holding my breath.
